After contemplating for quite some time, we finally decided to renovate our living and dry/wet kitchen area in 2023. We met up with Zach from Comuna Interiors in Apr and was immediately drawn to his creativity, knowledge and professionalism during the 1st meet up. We were running a tight deadline to complete the renovation works during June school holidays.
From planning to executing the renovation plans, Zach was always prompt in providing response and good advice. His contractors produced reasonably fast and high quality carpentry, lighting works etc. Even though Comuna is a relatively new company and there were hiccups here and there that was expected of any renovation process, rectification works were completed efficiently. We worked with Zach from Communa as our ID partner to renovate our 15 yr old condo. Throughout the whole process, he was very professional and gave good ID advice to modernize our home. He has a trustworthy batch of subcontractors including carpenters, electricians, tilers, plumbers, etc who delivered high quality work and made rectifications when needed.

Comuna Interior provided an excellent experience. We are quite delighted to have our ID, Julius, allocated to us after contacting them. Looking for an ID was quite stressful for us, especially because it was our first home and we had no idea what to do. It didn't help that there were hundreds of ID entries on Google, making choosing an ID much more difficult.
Comuna Interior was the fourth ID we encountered, and I recall that after an hour of seeing Julius, we could sense his passion for interior design, which gave us the courage to drop a deposit and officially select him as our designer. About two months passed during our renovation process, everything went smoothly according to schedule. Julius, was there to assist us with everything, so we didn't have to worry about anything. Julius planned and arranged every significant milestone, so we didn't even need to be present (apart from tasks that required us, like installation of Wi-Fi and we were able to go about our regular lives without interruption. The sense of comfort you feel knowing that someone else is handling your renovation job and you don't have to worry about whether it's going according to plan is something I can't adequately express in words. We are so grateful that Julius served as our primary point of contact and managed all the work.

We engaged Carmen as our interior designer for our 2nd house. She was very helpful and was always able to solve the problems that we raised to her. Before appointing her as our id, we had already met with 4 other different designers. Her space planning is the best among all of them as she truly paid attention to detail and took notes on what we wanted and proposed an impressive layout for us.
Her price was also much more reasonable than the other id firms. Other than pricing and planning, we were also truly satisfied with the final design proposed to us.

During renovation, she took great care of the house. She went through the constructions in detail and checked all possible defects for me. When the house was passed back to us, the results really surpassed expectations and we were very happy with it.

We truly recommend her as not only is her price reasonable, but her commitment to her job delivers results that speak for itself. Read more/less

We contacted 5 ID firms prior to choosing the final one. Before meeting them, I sent the floor plan, drafted a description of what we want and the requirements. As such, before the meetings, they have enough information to have an idea. Of the 5 IDs, 3 of them were unprepared and wanted to “chat” to know more.
I have kids and our schedule is very tight so I didn’t appreciate that they wasted my time. 2 IDs provided an initial idea and Alfred impressed us further as he knew his stuff. He told us which wall can’t be hacked, what is ok to build and still have good space. So we chose Comuna and it was a wonderful plan. Throughout the process, Alfred was contactable via WA and provided feedback to any ideas we have. When we wanted to get furniture, he gave good feedback. He would come up with a color scheme based on our likes. However, the true test came in the output

From the pics, you can see that Alfred’s team’s workmanship is great. He’s cognizant that we have kids so a lot of our in-built stuff are rounded. We have a lot of shoes and he overcame that problem with a floor-to-ceiling shoe rack without making things too crowded. My wife needed her baking space and the island is well constructed. His pricing is also reasonable and I cannot be happier. I highly recommend Comuna Interior to anyone. Read more/less

We engaged Zach for our BTO project as we felt he was the most knowledgeable among the IDs we met. Throughout the renovation process, Zach was very prompt in his responses to us even in late hours. He would make himself available every time we needed to discuss something and was very accommodating and patient with all our enquiries which we are very grateful for.
From the first meeting he understood our needs and requirements well and we were very impressed by the 3D they provided.

Most importantly, Zach made sure our home was delivered according to the promised timeline and we are happy with the workmanship. Even after we moved in, Zach has been very fast in getting his contractors to rectify any issues that came up or anytime we reach out for help. Because it is the renovation of the old HDB flats, many problems were encountered during the construction process. The designer ZachLee actively helped to solve the problems, and really thought from the perspective of customers.

Engaged Alfred and team to renovate my new place in July. Alfred was always responsive and try his best to keep to the budget agreed. Over the course of renovation period, he always updates me on the development and involves me in each stage of the reno. Even though there were hiccups during the reno (which is to be expected), Alfred would do his best to resolve the issues to satisfactory result.
